Judging Procedure
Each poster entry must have a Certificate of Authenticity securely attached to the back. Posters without a Certificate of Authenticity will not be eligible for judging. We are currently accepting entries past the original deadline of April 10 due to COVID-19. All entries must be postmarked to the Personnel Cabinet, Office of Employee Relations, 501 High Street, 3rd Floor, Frankfort, KY 40601.
Entries will be judged by a panel of judges chosen within the Personnel Cabinet. Six judges will be selected from separate divisions within the Personnel Cabinet. Judges will sign a conflict of interest statement. Additionally, the judges’ immediate family and/or direct descendants are ineligible to participate in the poster contest or receive an award. Judging Criteria
- Clear message conveyed by text and artwork
- Use of the theme "Making a Difference"
- Creativity, originality and artistic quality
- Visual clarity-easily read
- All contest rules concerning format, medium, artist and certification are followed
Posters will be divided into age groups, ages 6-9, 10-13 and 14-18. The submitted posters will not be returned. The artwork will become the property of the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet and may be displayed in publications and/or promotions.
