Public Service Recognition Week Poster Contest
Objective
This contest provides an opportunity to increase the awareness among children of the achievements and contributions of state employees in their communities.
Theme
"Making a Difference"
Eligibility
All children in the age groups shown below are encouraged to participate in the contest. Relatives of state employees are eligible. However, members of the judges’ family such as a child, grandchild or other relative or person with whom the judge maintains a close familial relationship are ineligible.

Age Groups and Awards
All entries will be judged anonymously by a panel within the Personnel Cabinet. Judges will select one first, second, and third place winner from each age category. Previous winners are not eligible to win in the same age category.
- Ages 6-9
- Ages 10-13
- Ages 14-18
Winners will receive the following prizes:
- First Place: $50.00
- Second Place: $25.00
- Third Place: $10.00
Contest Rules
Format
Posters should be submitted on paper no larger than 11 3/4 x 16 1/2 inches. Do not frame, or outline with borders. Please, no computer generated art work.
Medium
Any of the following media are permitted: color crayons, watercolor, acrylic, oil, indelible marker pens, felt-tip pens, soft ball-point pens, colored pencils or indelible ink. No charcoal or other non-permanent medium may be used.
Artist
Full name, address, age and name of school must be printed on the form below and affixed securely to the back of the poster.
Certification
Parent, guardian, or teacher must certify authenticity of artwork by completing the
Certificate of Authenticity.
Failure to follow contest rules will result in disqualification.
Reproduction Rights
Posters will not be returned. Artwork will become the property of the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet and may be displayed in publications and/or promotions.
