Personal Checking/Savings Account
If interested in enrolling in direct deposit using this option, you should select a financial institution (bank or credit union) that best fits your needs in terms of convenience, safety, service, interest on deposits, and cost of service. Most financial institutions offer either a free or economy type bank account to individuals who receive their pay by direct deposit.
How to Enroll
You can enroll in direct deposit on your own, using a personal account, through the Employee Self-Service (ESS) feature of the Kentucky Human Resource Information System (KHRIS). Simply click the KHRIS Login link, shown above in the blue banner, on the right, to get started. (An online tutorial is available under

If you need assistance enrolling in direct deposit with a personal account, please complete the
Direct Deposit Enrollment Form and turn it in to your HR Administrator for processing.
NOTE: To enroll with this type of account, you must first have the account established as the routing and account number are needed to complete set-up.
