Governmental Services Center (GSC)

We are the training and development office for Kentucky state employees. We partner with agencies in helping them develop their employees.

State government offers classroom and online training opportunities to state employees, managers, and state agencies.

Consulting Services

GSC can provide customized development opportunities for agencies. We can meet with leadership and determine the best training solution. We can offer sessions virtually or in person at any location in Kentucky. In addition, we can recommend eLearning opportunities to meet a teams’ needs.

Virtual Instructor-Led Training

These sessions are far from your typical webinar! We offer interactive virtual sessions where you’ll be engaged from the moment you log into the course. We offer sessions on a variety of topics like Leadership, Work Relationships, and Customer Service.

eLearning

GSC manages a huge collection of eLearning courses offered through CommonwealthU. We create playlists for specific topics.

Resources for Employees

GSC provides ongoing support for Commonwealth U through online training and manuals. Our course, Learning Your Way at Commonwealth U, provides an overview of the system's capabilities. Manuals are available that provide more detail for both managers and employees.

Resources for Agency Training Staff

We provide assistance and ongoing training to agency training coordinators, administrators, and trainers. Manuals are available for agency training coordinators and administrators. In addition, we provide virtual training sessions quarterly. Train the Trainer and eLearning authoring software training are available annually. Our staff is always available to provide one-on-one learning opportunities as well.
