MyPURPOSE Has changed

Beginning August 31, 2020, when you select the MyPURPOSE icon on your desktop or the option within the Personnel Cabinet website or KHRIS Employee Self-Service (ESS), you will be presented with a new logon pad.

Simply log in using the same KHRIS User ID and Password used to log into KHRIS ESS. If you've forgotten either or these, you can select the appropriate Forgot link on the logon pad for self-guided assistance.

What is MyPURPOSE?

Now available, MyPURPOSE is your new talent management system - an investment in you, our greatest asset.
Use MyPURPOSE to access training courses, review and apply for job openings, and eventually, for new employee information and for completing performance plans and evaluations. You’ll also have access to some exciting, innovative features like:

Through the Career Center, search and apply to career opportunities that interest you by uploading a resume or completing an application. You can also check on the status of your job submissions and refer jobs to your friends! MyPURPOSE will show all job postings available to you.

Create your personal profile and upload your picture, give and receive feedback from team members, and view your training transcript (coming soon) in one convenient location. You can also view pending actions and requests, and keep up with your to-do list here.

Be a part of the conversation with team members across the enterprise. Are you working on a project with other agencies? Or have you hit a roadblock and want to know how others have handled it? Participate in group discussions and share your experiences and expertise. Those groups you've been invited to join will automatically show as an option, or you can submit a request to create a group.

CommonwealthU provides access to more than 1,300 new online courses. You are able to view upcoming instructor-led training opportunities, request enrollment, and view your training transcript. New and exciting professional and personal development courses are loaded each quarter.

Through MyPERFORMANCE, employees and supervisors (evaluators) complete various tasks associated with the Commonwealth’s performance management process.

Q: How can I connect my mobile device/tablet to the MyPURPOSE system?
A: Open your device browser and navigate to https://mypurpose.ky.gov. You can also download the Cornerstone mobile app (from Cornerstone OnDemand, Inc.) in the iTunes App Store or Google Play.

Q: What are the MyPURPOSE computer requirements?
A: Browser versions recommended -
• Microsoft Edge
• Chrome
• Safari 8 or higher
• Firefox 4 or higher
• Opera 27 or higher
• Mobile devices running iOS 9 or higher and Android 5 or higher.

Q: How do I know what browser version I'm using?
A: Most browsers have a help feature, which contains information about your browser. To find that feature:

• Internet Explorer - At the top of the page, click "Help" > "About Internet Explorer" OR click the gear icon in the upper right-hand side of your screen > "About Internet Explorer"
• Microsoft Edge - Click the three dot icon in the upper right-hand side of your screen > click "Settings" > scroll to the bottom to see the version
• Chrome - Click the three dots icon in the upper right-hand side of your screen > "About Google Chrome"
• Firefox - Click the three line icon in the upper right-hand side of your screen > "About Firefox"

Q: What are the screen resolution/color requirements?
A: Resolution requirements are 1024 x 728 or higher. Minimum color requirements are 62 bit, optimal is 32-bit.

Q: Why is my online training class not opening?
A: For Training: Please make sure you are using Internet Explorer 11 with the pop up blocker turned off. If you do not have Internet Explorer 11 you will need to use Google Chrome with the pop up blocker turned off and the flash player enabled.
